O Dry Bones, Hear the Word of the Lord! Scripture and Declaration- Ezekiel 37:3-4

And he said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, you know.” 4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. – Ezekiel 37:3-4

God has placed eternity in the hearts of all but not all will have the same destiny. (Ecclesiastes 3:11, Philippians 3:20,21)  Although death is a natural part of living Children of God look forward to the time when will drink of the waters of eternal life in a heavenly paradise with God. But what if we are experiencing a “dry spell ”  in our earthly lives with God now?

Ezekiel chapter 37 gives a thrilling account of God’s hand upon Ezekiel and leading him to a dry valley by the Spirit. God asks Ezekiel a profound question in this dry, mix of bones in this valley. He asks Ezekiel, ” Son of man can these bones live again?” There are many accounts in the bible where God begins an encounter with a question.( Genesis 3:9,10) God is all-knowing and asks questions to call out to the heart of man. (Genesis 4:6)  God intersects in our lives and enters the picture to shift our paradigms and to remind us that He specializes in the impossible.

Our bones can become dry in the valleys of life and we may think that God has forgotten about us.  In times of distress when we feel our lives and circumstances are dead and there is no life left, we should do what the Lord told Ezekiel to do. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we can breathe life into a dead situation and God can cause us to regenerate. Just as the flesh was revived on the bones in this account our flesh and heart too can heal and be revived. We can speak the words of God to breathe new life into our outlook, mind, and spirit. God is the God of the mountains and also the God of the valleys (1 Kings 20:28) It is not His plan nor is it His design to see us struggle and stay in the valleys of our lives.

If we look to the hills from which cometh our help ( Psalm 121:1) we shall live again and be healed in the name of Jesus.

Declaration: O Dry bones Hear the Word of the Lord and be healed in the name of Jesus! We shall live and not die says the Word of the Lord who has given us the healing waters of heaven. Those who are depressed and are spiritually on the brink of death, drink life and experience the joy of the Lord who is our strength. Those who need their bodies to be healed, cry out to the Lord and receive a revival in your health. Let us partake of the Balm of healing our Lord Jesus Christ who gives us hope. As we began to prophesy over our lives and speak your Word and promises, breathe your Rauch Spirit on us shower your promises on us and on our seed. Raise us from the ashes O’God even when our situation looks impossible and help us to align our utterances with Yours.  Jesus, you are the Ressurection and the life and though we may die, though relationships may falter, we speak life, hope, and joy over these things that you may do immeasurably more than what we ask. We ask these things by the Spirit and steadfast faith so that we and our situations are raised to life by a powerful move of Yours, the Almighty God.
